We are looking for a System Test Technician to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Sr. Manager, System Test and based in Fremont, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and follow test protocols and processes
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish multiple goals
  • Performs many complicated work-related tasks
  • Compile test reports
  • Maintain readiness of test equipment (service, calibration, etc.)
  • Perform work related tasks according to company guidelines for scheduled maintenance.
  • Requires no direct supervision for daily operations based upon training
  • Maintains a questioning attitude towards anything resembling a design or quality defect

Technical Skills:

  • Must have a strong ability to read and interpret electrical and piping diagrams.
  • Familiarity with high-voltage electrical safety and LOTO procedures is required.
  • Operates specialized test hardware and fixtures
  • Performs in-process inspection of data and fuel cell systems and notifies the team of irregularities
  • Candidate must have a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and debug mechanical and electrical items with the systems
  • Performs work related tasks according to company guidelines for scheduled maintenance

Skills and Experience:

  • Required power generation experience (one or more of the following
  • Six years of equivalent industry experience
  • Background in fuel cell system design or testing is highly desirable
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Must have a strong ability to read and interpret electrical and piping diagrams
  • Familiar with controls and instrumentation systems
  • Operates in a safe manner in accordance with published safety guidelines
  • Professional & collaborative – comfortable working closely with a team
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization in a verbal and written manner - managers, co-workers, support services, electronic communications, et al.
  • Experience using a structured problem solving process
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Computer savvy – HMI, MS Office

  • Adheres to work hour policy guidelines
  • Reports all work related accidents or injuries immediately to the appropriate personnel
  • Completes annual safety training requirements as defined in safety training guideline

Physical Requirements:

While performing duties of the above jobs, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or other components; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell. The associate frequently is required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to regularly lift at least 50 pounds.
