We are looking for a Program Management Intern to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Program Management and based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role.
Department Overview:
The Program Management group at Bloom Energy is dedicated to driving the successful end-to-end execution of our projects and initiatives. We work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Supply Chain, Energy Transition, CTO, New Product Introduction (NPI), Manufacturing, Service, Installation, and Finance, to ensure that our programs are delivered on time, within scope, and with the highest quality. Our team is responsible for the comprehensive management of new programs, from initial planning and development through to final implementation and delivery. By fostering strong collaboration and communication across all departments, we ensure seamless integration and execution of our projects.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Create Portfolio Dashboards: Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards to track the progress and performance of multiple programs.
• Timeline Templates: Design and implement timeline templates for different programs using MS Project to ensure efficient project planning and execution.
• Process Establishment: Establish two processes to mitigate cross-functional communication gaps, enhancing collaboration and information flow.
• PLC Deliverable Tracking: Monitor and track PLC (Product Lifecycle) deliverables for various programs, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project timelines.
• Finalization Processes: Assist in the finalization of "Ready to Sell," "Ready to Quote," and "Ready to Ship" stages for programs.
• Program Assistance: Support program managers in managing a couple of programs, providing administrative and operational assistance as needed.
• Communication and Synthesis: Engage with cross functional team members to understand technical details and synthesize information to present concisely to leaders.
• Product Concept Grasp: Quickly grasp product concepts and understand when to delve into details and when to provide a broad overview.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in MS Project and other project management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with engineers and leaders.
• Ability to synthesize technical information and present it concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of product concepts and the ability to balance depth and breadth in communication.
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience in program management or project planning.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management.
• Previous internship or work experience in a related field.
