We are looking for a NPI Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Director, Development Engineering and based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role.
Role and Responsibilities:
• The candidate would have several projects throughout the internship.
• Design and Fabrication of manufacturing tooling and fixtures
• Sustainability metrics ownership
• Manufacturing process improvements
• Propose new ideas to save on manufacturing costs, labor, or improve quality
• Test and present findings for assigned projects
• Create documentation and process flow diagrams, based on assigned projects
• Ability to support multiple concurrent tasks
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
Minimum Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a degree in preferred Engineering concentration in Mechanical Engineering Basic understanding of control theory and system dynamics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with creating 3D designs and drawings using dimensioning and tolerancing. Experience with SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience with leveraging spreadsheets, systems, and processes to complete tasks
• Must be graduating at least by June 2026
• This internship is scheduled to begin June 2025 and end approximately August 2025.
