ABOUT THIS POSITION


Location: Hybrid (2-3 days in office) in Arlington, VA or Houston, TX.

The Marketing Director will drive marketing planning, demand generation, events, and campaigns for our battery storage business in the Americas region – including the US, Canada, and Latin America. The Marketing Director will own the execution of key marketing functions that support brand awareness and demand generation in the Americas, including thought leadership campaigns, digital and in-person events, and paid media. This is an exciting opportunity to drive growth and sales for a leading clean energy innovator and top battery storage provider in the company’s largest global market.


Sitting at the intersection of Fluence’s marketing, sales, growth, and corporate communications efforts in the Americas region, you will play a key role in driving and nurturing demand for our energy storage solutions, building brand awareness campaigns, and supporting the development of our sales funnel in target markets and customer segments. This position is strategic and highly cross-functional, and you will work collaboratively with sales, policy, growth, communications, and other parts of the organization to execute high-profile regional marketing plans.


The Marketing Director will be responsible for:

•Partner in developing region-specific marketing and demand gen plans that support Fluence’s regional sales for energy storage products and services

•Planning and executing marketing tactics and events to create new sales opportunities, accelerate existing sales opportunities, and deepen our brand recognition in the region

•Working with corporate marketing teams and agencies to form and execute integrated campaigns that involve email marketing, thought leadership, events, conferences, paid advertising, and other tactics/channels as needed

•Prioritizing and managing Fluence’s conference activity and sponsorships in the Americas region

•Coordinating with other marketing functions to align campaign activity and event messaging with new product launches, go-to-market priorities, and customer segmentation. 

•Tracking and reporting on regional marketing budget for events and digital campaigns, and tracking success against annual marketing KPIs within your function

What does the ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
  • Bachelor’s in marketing, business, or related discipline. MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years of related marketing experience, ideally in B2B energy or power sectors (a plus)
  • Experience leading large-scale marketing efforts, including planning, prioritizing, and implementing sales-focused marketing strategies that drive new business and support future growth
  • Prioritizing and overseeing program budgets, tracking marketing KPIs, and communicating with executive leadership
  • Experience implementing marketing operations and lead flow best practices. Strong familiarity with marketing technology stacks (Salesforce and HubSpot are nice to have)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized and proficient at managing multiple projects at the same time
  • You are entrepreneurial and work well in a rapidly changing and/or cross-functional environments

$170,000 - $190,000 a year
Actual compensation is based on experience and location.
