Overall Summary:
Eos is looking for a Manager, Communications, responsible for developing and executing communication strategies to enhance an organization’s brand, reputation, and messaging. This role involves overseeing internal and external communications, media relations, and digital content to ensure consistency and effectiveness in conveying the organization’s mission and objectives. This role manages a small team of professionals and works closely with Investor Relations.
Location: On-site in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with limited travel as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Communication Planning
Develop and execute comprehensive strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
Ensure messaging consistency across all communication channels.
Communicate with partners, sponsors, and community organizations to strengthen relationships.
Internal Communications
Manage internal communications to keep employees informed, motivated, and aligned with company goals.
Create and distribute internal newsletters, announcements, and employee engagement materials by working with key business stakeholders
Support leadership in delivering key messages to employees.
External Communications & Content Development
Oversee the creation of high-quality content for internal and external communications, including press releases, blogs, social media posts,
Manage social media channels working closely with investor relations and marketing
Create and manage company press releases by developing, writing, and distributing press releases to media outlets, ensuring clear and consistent messaging that aligns with Company objectives. Coordinate the release process, manage media inquiries, and track coverage to assess impact.
Work closely with investor relations to ensure messaging accurately depicts the Company narrative and investor sentiment
Ensure brand consistency in all communication materials.
Media Relations and Crisis Communication
Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, reporters, and media outlets.
Monitor media coverage. Write and distribute media statements and responses to inquiries.
Develop and implement crisis communication plans, responding quickly to unforeseen issues that may affect the company’s reputation.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or related discipline required. Master’s or above degree(s) preferred.
Five (5+) or more years of experience in communications, PR, or media relations required.
Proven experience with social media management and content creation required.
Leadership/supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Working Conditions:
This position requires occasional travel. The work environment includes a combination of office settings and interactions with employees in various work locations.
Office Environment – must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figure; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. May be required to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
