Job Summary: The Test Engineer role plays a crucial role in ensuring the performance, safety, and reliability of our battery systems through rigorous testing processes, data analysis, and training initiatives.
Location: Onsite in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Key Responsibilities:
Test Development and Execution:
Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test protocols for battery systems, focusing on performance, durability, and safety.
Coordinate and conduct tests on battery systems using state-of-the-art testing equipment and methodologies.
Troubleshoot and optimize test setups to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Gather, process, and analyze data from test results to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement, directly feeding the production continuous improvement and scrap reduction processes.
Generate detailed technical reports and presentations summarizing findings, actionable insights, and recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate test results into product design and development improvements.
Training and Knowledge Sharing:
Develop work instructions, training materials, and guidelines for test procedures and protocols.
Train colleagues and new team members on running tests, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety standards.
Act as a subject matter expert on battery testing and provide technical support to other departments when needed.
Education/Experience:
Minimum of 5 yearsβ experience.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field required.
Masterβs degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in battery testing, power systems, or energy storage technologies.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, or similar).
