Position Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Department: Supply Chain

Reports To: Warehouse Manager, US Mfg. Op

Location: Indiana

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor will play a pivotal role in supporting the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring the inbound/outbound, handling, posting and distribution of goods. This supervisory-level position demands a solid foundation in warehouse operations, staff coordination, and adherence to regulatory standards. The Warehouse Supervisor will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to uphold operational excellence and maintain a safe, orderly environment within the warehouse.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and the distribution of goods;
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of effective inventory control systems and participate in regular audits to verify accuracy and mitigate losses;
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager in coordinating with the Accounting team to ensure accurate inventory tracking, timely reporting, and adherence to budgetary guidelines
  • Ensure all warehouse activities comply with health and safety regulations, promote a culture of safety, and participate in routine safety training;
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity within warehouse operations;
  • Assist in planning and managing warehouse space utilization to maximize storage capacity and optimize workflow;
  • Oversee and support the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technological tools to streamline operations effectively;
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with budget management, including cost control and preparation of financial reports;
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate warehouse staff; Develop work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels;
  • Contribute to the preparation and presentation of regular reports on warehouse performance, including key metrics and KPIs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory or senior specialist role;
  • A bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred;
  • Proven expertise in warehouse operations, ideally within the energy or manufacturing sectors;
  • A strong working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software;
  • Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to warehouse operations;
  • Strong leadership and management skills;
  • Forklift certification is preferred
