About the Job:


Peak Energy is looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our Cell Engineering team and play a crucial role in driving the development and deployment of our sodium ion based large-scale energy storage systems. This role will lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and efficient sodium ion cells that meet the needs of our customers and contribute to the advancement of renewable energy storage. 


Responsibilities: 



  • Lead the sodium ion cell program from concept through commercialization, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.  

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, and manage project execution against these plans. 

  • Work on cell product development plan and programs and execute new product integration of our cell product. 

  • Collaborate with the Cell R&D team, Energy Storage Systems Engineering team, Manufacturing Engineering team, and Product teams to define project requirements, specifications, and deliverables. 

  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies. 

  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues that could impact project success, implementing corrective actions as necessary. 

  • Track program progress, prepare status reports, and present updates to senior management and other stakeholders. 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program management processes and methodologies. 

  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in sodium-ion cell technology, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions. 


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 

  • 8+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in energy storage, battery technology, or related industries. 

  • Experience in product management or product development.  

  • Strong technical background in battery technologies, with specific experience in sodium-ion cells highly desirable. 

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects. 

  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, PMP certification is a plus). 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges. 

  • Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and driving technological innovation. 

  • Eligible to work in the U.S. 


Preferred Qualifications: 



  • PMP or other relevant certifications in project management are a plus.

  • Experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
