About the role:

The Senior Human Resources Generalist plays a crucial role in representing the HR department in the office. Additionally, this person will work closely with the leadership team, to provide HR support where needed. This person will be the β€œface of the organization” so providing a strong first impression of the company is critical.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and scheduling employee training.
  • Assisting in tracking all recruiting efforts in the local market as well as developing relationships with the Chamber of Commerce, colleges, and staffing avenues to drive applicant flow.
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as status changes, terminations, and compensation and assist with resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Perform payroll and benefits responsibilities
  • Promote corporate HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
  • Assist in the development and lead the implementation of human resource policies.
  • Maintain employee files and records.
  • Enhance job satisfaction by implementing well-being activities that engage the workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
  • Creating and distributing hiring fliers and coordinating advertising efforts in the local market
  • Monitor employment costs and expenses according to budget
  • Develop relationships and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure communication of critical issues promptly
  • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years experience in all aspects of human resources (onboarding, employee life cycle, documentation, terminations, Employee leaves including PTO, payroll, and benefits administration, not negotiation).
  • Experience in recruiting and talent acquisition
  • Familiarity with labor laws and employment equity regulations. Knowledge of general HR policies and compliance obligations (i.e., FMLA, HIPAA, OHSA, etc.)
  • Confidential, understands the ethical standards of HR. Ability to keep privileged information confidential and follow all established guidelines and policies around handling sensitive information.
  • Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product
  • Experience in a fast-paced organization with the ability to adapt to and work in a fast growth-oriented and rapidly changing environment
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner. Bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order over the same
  • Ability to operate with substantial latitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional work ethic with a great attitude to work hard, have fun, and make the world a better place
