The Software Sales Analyst will be based in Fremont, CA. In this position, you will report to the Director, Business Development and Strategy. The Nextracker Sales Analyst will input and manage all aspects of customer projects information within the CRM system, generate quotations and comprehensive proposals based on project technical requirements and customer specific needs. The Sales Analyst works closely with the Project Engineering, Logistics, Operations and Finance teams to ensure that Nextracker is consistently exceeding customer expectations while ensuring sales maintains maximum margin contribution. This analyst will work hand in hand with the Manager of Advanced Software to prioritize urgent requests weekly and daily, if needed. This role will include a mix of internal and external management responsibilities. Internally, coordinating and driving departments to provide associated inputs to quotations and completing internal handoffs for booking software contracts. Externally, following up with customers for information and tasking work to outside contractors. The Analyst will support Account Managers, Sales Directors and other Sales Leaders on the Global Sales Team with significant learning opportunities.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

  • Working with Sales Leads, Project Engineering, and Sales Ops, you will assume functional control of complex multi-$M opportunities and usher them through the NX sale process from Customer RFP to contract execution and handoff
  • Assist with identifying, tracking and communicating KPIs on division sales performance to senior management
  • Support quarterly sales target with Business Development and Sales Ops
  • Work closely with the Global Sales/Business Development Team on creative deal structuring and bid strategy
  • Create and maintain sales models, ensuring quoting accuracy with right to all Nextracker sales ops processes
  • Support Sales Leads through contract negotiation and redlining process
  • Support new commercial structure initiatives and product offerings
  • Track sales activities using NetSuite ERP and Salesforce CRM
  • Manage all CRM system improvements, and modifications
  • Generate sales reports/presentations and present them to a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Continually streamline, standardize, and improve proposal templates, internal processes, bankability binders, and client presentations
  • Form excellent working relationships with other Nextracker departments, including Customer Applications, Cost Accounting, Logistics, and Engineering to ensure on-time delivery and best-in-class quality of all Nextracker products
  • Actively contribute to the development of the Software and Services Sales Division

Indicators (KPIs) for measuring success in this role:

  • Achieving and exceeding group sales targets
  • Data cleanliness in CRM systems
  • Ability to coordinate and drive different departments to hit customer due dates
  • Support of other team members
  • Accuracy and completeness of handoff packages for the Operations team

Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…

  • 5-7 years of experience of relevant B2B Sales Support experience in a sales analysis, financial analysis, business development, and/or program management role
  • Solid financial model competency familiar with NPV, IRR, and CapEx related investments
  • Highly competitive drive and motivation to ramp an industry disrupting technology
  • Track record of achieving results by assessing key elements required, mapping actions, and influencing stakeholders cross functionally including Sales, Product Management, and Engineering
  • Strong attention to detail to conform custom language to uniquely negotiated terms
  • Ability to identify and address process flow gaps, and develop solutions to empower prioritization and team accountability through the RFI to deal close cycle
  • Proven analytical background
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience utilizing CRM (Salesforce preferred) and ERP (NetSuite preferred) systems
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Salesforce, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Solar experience and passion for solar are always a plus

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is 100,000.00 to 110,000.00 plus a commission structure based on commission calculation, such as percentage of sales or specific metrics.
