Salary range: $61,732.00 to $77,165.00

The Klamath Energy (KE) Sr. Warehouse Administrator will be responsible for the safe and efficient inventory control, warehouse organization, parts planning, expediting, shipping and receiving and much of the purchasing for the plant. This position is also responsible to be proficient in the use of computerized data bases, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other electronic means of organizing and tracking parts, components and materials will be used.

The Sr. Warehouse Administrator will work closely with all Plant Technicians, office personnel, Management, Operations and Maintenance Departments and EHS. This position will also work closely as needed with Corporate groups such as Accounting, Control, Purchasing and Asset Management.

This position is also required to aid in maintenance activities to include crane operator, welder, fabricator and general helper. In addition, this position may be required to be the KE representative to manage on-site contractors performing maintenance activities. This position currently is the forklift trainer for the KE facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administers and operates the facility’s two warehouses, including processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment.
  • Accounts for all materials and supplies in the stores facilities; audits goods received into warehouse.
  • Oversees receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures.
  • Prepares and coordinates schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.
  • Ensures the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment.
  • Effectively and professionally communicate with other team members, vendors and customers.
  • Contributes to the development of plant procedures.
  • Complies with established policies, procedures, laws, regulations, orders and contracts.
  • Demonstrate a willingness and desire to improve skills and knowledge applicable to power plant operations and maintenance.
  • Initiates all procurement (requisitions and/or purchase orders) to replenish warehouse parts. Includes adding inventory to the warehouse when needed.
  • Assist in identifying vendors for bids and getting bids.
  • Communicates directly with vendors and suppliers.
  • Maintaining plant consumables (i.e. batteries, pipe fittings, electrical fittings, paint, general use chemicals, and other consumables).
  • Order and schedule chemical deliveries as requested by Operations.
  • Manage rolling stock corrective and preventative maintenance.
  • Develop work scopes and evaluate bids for rolling stock replacements and/or repairs.
  • Obtain and maintain a “Forklift Trainer” certification and manage plant staff training requirements.
  • Maintain gas and diesel fuel levels in bulk tanks and company vehicles.
  • Seasonal road maintenance scheduling (i.e. snowplowing, crack filling).
  • Obtain and provide to the Plant Engineer the MTR’s for specialty materials.
  • Manage all substances purchased at the facility to ensure adherence to approved substance list.
  • Obtain and provide to Operations and the EHS Engineer SDS’s for all substances received at the plant.
  • Outage preparation to include arranging security, break trailers, sanitation, dumpsters, drinking water, rental equipment, and other needed goods and services.
  • Obtain and manage all rental agreements for equipment on site.
  • Perform Contractor Safety Indoctrination training as required.
  • Housekeeping plant site (i.e. scrap-metal pick up, wood scrap disposal, left over material from maintenance projects).
  • Prepares and processes receiving reports – including damage claims, returns, back order logs and invoice matching.
  • Expedites orders, back orders and warranty claims.
  • Prepares for and participates in audits and inspections related to warehouse operations.
  • Monthly inventory cycle counts.
  • Prepare Inventory documents and maintenance of files for purchasing, receiving, warehousing and inventory control.
  • Perform handyman duties as required around the plant.
  • Competent welding and fabricating skills.
  • Proficient in overhead bridge and mobile crane use. This included proper rigging and truck loading/unloading skills.
  • Make parts runs to town to deliver or pickup material.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in warehousing, purchasing and receiving is required.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Working knowledge of and able to identify components for mechanical and electrical equipment typically found in power plants or industrial facilities (i.e. motor control centers, distribution panels, pumps, motors, valves, valve actuators and controllers, relays, and various control system components).
  • Able to effectively use computers and software programs including but not limited to: MS Word, MS Excel, Internet, e-mail, computerized maintenance management systems and purchasing and warehousing software.
  • Previous training and experience with SAP (inventory management, purchasing, and receiving).
  • Previous training and experience with the handling, storing and shipping of hazardous materials.
  • Previous experience operating equipment commonly used for material handling (i.e. forklifts, pallet jacks).
  • Previous experience operating heavy equipment, (i.e. broderson crane, manlift).
  • Possess and maintain a valid Oregon driver’s license.
  • Able to successfully complete a respiratory evaluation and respirator fit test.
  • Able to successfully complete basic First Aid / CPR training.
  • Able to successfully complete training for hazardous material handling, processing, transportation and spill response.
  • Able to safely lift 75 lbs, move compressed gas cylinders, climb ladders and stairs, load and unload trucks and physically perform all other duties associated with the job.
  • Participates in plant environmental and health & safety plans, programs, committees and policies.
  • Serve on the safety committee.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specific experience with the following areas:
    • SAP
    • MP2 and Black & Veatch plant nomenclature
    • Crane operator certification
    • Forklift operator certification
    • Manlift (aerial lift) operator certification
