Position Summary: 

This position is a key contributor to the realization of stretching sales targets within a high growth, fast paced sales environment at EcoEngineers. The account manager will be a seasoned sales/business development professional with a bias toward the identification of unmet customer needs, deploying a process that leads to the efficient closing of revenue through opportunity development in a 1-to-8-month forward timeframe.

Reporting to EcoEngineers’ Renewable Natural Gas Managing Director, the accomplishment of agreed revenue goals will be the primary focus, against which the account manager will be incentivized through scalable variable commission structure that sets up for significant and unlimited earnings upside.

This role drives Eco Engineers’ value across the assigned market territory, and for customers is a key partner in enabling the development of carbon intensity visibility, regulatory insight, compliance and voluntary market access, and the life cycle analysis they require to decarbonize operations and drive the energy transition forward. 

Organization:

Reports to the Managing Director, RNG Services and has no direct reports.

Responsibilities:

    Setting and realizing order intake and sales goals within 12-month annual periods.

    Lead conversion, opportunity development, and closing activity required to meet and exceed targets.

    Collaborating with Eco Engineers’ industry leading operational group to develop technical aspects of value propositions, scope work accurately and win work that is aligned with operational goals.

    Gather relevant client scope through client discussions and leading scoping meetings.

    Draft and assemble high quality proposals for delivery to internal stakeholders and customers.

    Become a trusted partner to key customers, advising and sharing thought leadership to build trust.

    Support the development and accomplishment of strategic goals for the service area.

    Sharing responsibility to innovate solutions to the client’s challenges.

    Understand and realize the value of important sales systems, being a frequent contributor to CRM.

Primary Goals:

Driving revenue for the assigned service area, the account manager works as part of a high-performance team to deliver a personal order intake goal, which ultimately translates into a revenue recognition against goal for the year.

The account manager will attend conferences, deliver through leadership, work campaigns and collaborate internally in order to accelerate progress towards sales goals.

Qualifications & Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in a commercial or engineering discipline.

    Minimum 5 years in a relevant strategic or key account management role; 10 years preferred.

    >5years RNG/sustainability industry experience.

    >5 years in sales with a consistent track record of success.

    Demonstrated ability to translate market insights or initial interactions into pursuits and ultimately, revenue

    Working knowledge of the Renewable Natural Gas markets including the relevant regulatory schemes driving development including the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) and Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) programs.

    Ability to build, develop and leverage extensive client relationships/networks.

    Potentially a thought leader in the field.

    Public presentation experience.

    Demonstrable record of outcome orientation – results driven.

    Ability to travel.

    Ability to sell services and solutions, with demonstrated experience in packaging up solutions in response to complex challenges.

    Familiarity with CRM and how value & insight accumulates within it.
