As part of NREL’s Proposal Operations Team, the Professional level II - Proposal Coordinator will support proposal development, with a primary focus on proposals submitted to the U.S. Department of Energy’s EERE solar energy technology office (SETO) and a secondary focus on proposal support for other DOE program offices, ensuring NREL submits high-quality, compliant proposals which drive the organization towards meeting strategic and programmatic objectives. The Proposal Coordinator will work with management, researchers, and other personnel across NREL to apply and support best practices in responding to funding opportunities issued by the U.S. Department of Energy and other government and private entities. This individual will support broader efforts to complete required forms, letters, obtain management signatures, and the overall quality and compliance of NREL-submitted proposals, while improving the efficiency of internal processes. The proposal coordinator will identify and support efforts to communicate proposal opportunities and track overall performance by the directorate and program. Finally, this individual will be driven and proactive in providing value to program and directorate staff with minimal instruction and will be an expert in managing their time and balancing their workload to maximize impact.
