The salary range for this position is dependent on experience ranging from $101,404 to $126,755.

The Program Manager, Performance & Budgets will be responsible for defining the strategy and guaranteeing implementation of projects and initiatives that will transform Avangrid’s networks business into a leading company in the energy distribution segment. The Program Manager will lead the delivery of strategic transformation projects, advise other Directors on the most appropriate methodology and work closely with Electric Operations Vice President to shape and guarantee projects delivery. Program Manager, Performance & Budgets will work across the networks business units, such as Electric and Gas, Operations and Projects, General services, Processes and Technology, and Planning and Regulation. This role will be responsible for guaranteeing all actions needed to accomplish and exceed company’s long term outlook plan. This position is in Augusta, Maine only with occasional travel to Avangrid Locations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify processes changes opportunities to improve operational and financial results at Avangrid Networks
  • Plan, implement, control, and improve performance management, processes review programs and quality assurance, ensuring adherence to the parameters of national and international standards and market requirements, within the policies defined by the company.
  • Identify and guarantee implementation of efficiencies in processes, systems, and tasks, promoting awareness of the people and sectors directly involved, seeking their engagement in finding solutions and implementing corrective actions.
  • Elaborate, propose, disseminate, and articulate programs that encourage people to improve processes and implement efficiencies, to enable company’s cultural change and guarantee buy-in from leadership and managers onto the Transformation Plan and its initiatives.
  • Propose implementation of each initiative to Senior Director Performance & Budgets and to the Networks SVP Operations.
  • Guarantee that every initiative will be communicated properly to leaders and impacted employees.
  • Guarantee implementation of every initiative identified and that expected results are delivered by the impacted business areas.
  • Guarantee efficiency on field operations through the optimization of processes, management structure, methodology and others.
  • Develop and execute short, medium, and long-term strategies to improve operational efficiency, team productivity and execution quality.
  • Develop and execute strategies to guarantee adequate balance between demand and available resources, guaranteeing the accomplishment of expected rates of return from the business.
  • Develop studies and analysis of alternatives and operational scenarios to support the decision-making process; develop and manage operational model evolution roadmap and distribution network improvement in collaboration with other areas of the organization.
  • Integrate the activities, processes, projects, and actions of the Operations business area related to service planning.
  • Coordinate discussions of Performance & Budgets goals and propose scenarios for operational performance.
  • Coordinate the recommendations for grid enhancement and guarantee that initiatives are implemented.
  • Lead initiatives to ensure process and procedure compliance with regulatory, quality, safety, and sustainability standards / certifications.
  • Promote the development of leadership and employees to guarantee their awareness and focus on current corporate strategy, expected results and business sustainability as well as on business expectations.
  • Share professional knowledge in a structured way, promoting formal training guided by Human Resources or informal improvement actions.

Job Requirements:

Required Education: BS/BA Degree 8 to 10 years relevant experience

Master/MBA Degree

Experience in managing relevant projects or initiatives;

Participation in global initiatives;

Experience in financial analysis and formulation of business cases;

Ability to articulate with senior leaders (vice-presidents, directors, etc.);

Experience in cultural changes and change management;

Experience in operational processes and methodology;

Demonstrate exceptional people management skills.

Experience in implementation and coordination of Change Management Programs.

Experience in the implementation and coordination of operational processes review and improvement.

Skills/Abilities:

·Strong understanding of accounting processes and principles (industry)

  • Results oriented and excellent analytical, strategic, communication, and teamwork/collaboration skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • The ability to manage complexity and ambiguity in a highly matrixed environment.
