To join our team as Financial Operations Consultant, responsible for supporting the delivery of client services based in financial reporting, invoicing, program accounting and budget management functions for a large and diverse portfolio of programs. You will demonstrate strong collaboration across different teams, have accounting and project management acumen, bring a positive customer-centric mindset and combine excellent communication with analytical skills. This position will be part of a program delivery team responsible for implementing innovative residential energy-efficiency programs on behalf of a client serving customers in Oregon and SW Washington.

  • Become an expert in connecting dynamic contracts and staff activities with over 100 team members to accurately categorize billable costs
  • Approve and track timesheet and expenses coding and documentation
  • Track and approve financial data specific to customer invoices, purchase orders, and customer incentives
  • Verify financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness in accordance with specific project and contractual compliance requirements
  • Prepare and submit final invoices to clients; compile invoice support and backup documentation required for each invoice submission
  • Collaborate with relevant departments (ex: accounts payable)ProPro to gather necessary information for billing and financial forecasting
  • Assist in preparing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projects and financial analysis reports in the context of annual, quarterly and monthly forecasting
  • Work closely with program vendors to ensure timely receipt, review invoice documentation for accuracy and processing of invoices
  • Identify opportunities for ongoing improvement of program financial management processes

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…

  • 4+ years combined relevant work experience that may include (but certainly not limited to) program finance operations, project management or accounting process support
  • Strong attention to detail and able to conduct highly accurate reviews of complex invoicing and billing documentation
  • Superb customer and client service skills
  • Familiarity with US GAAP; strong proficiency with financial statement and report preparation
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Ability to work under stress, interruptions, and tight deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to quality; organized and process-oriented.
  • Experience with data management
  • Comfortable with budget management
  • Ability to interpret complex information and data
  • Positive attitude and flexibility
