Principal Electrical Engineer

We are working with one of the leading renewable energy engineering firms in the industry. Our client specializes in C&I, PV+BESS, and microgrid project design, engineering, and consulting for renewable energy companies throughout the country.

The Electrical Engineer role requires a deep understanding of electrical design, power systems, and energy integration.  In this role, you will work closely with the engineering team, guiding and consulting on designing various solar-plus-storage and microgrid projects ranging from 250kW to 15 MW. The ideal candidate will also oversee technical aspects, ensuring high-quality standards while managing complex electrical consulting services, including power studies, owner’s engineering, and educational support.

The ideal candidate must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Structural PE License – (EIT with a path to PE certification will also be considered)


• 5+ years working in the energy or MEP industry focusing on microgrids, renewable energy systems, solar, or energy storage.


• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVSyst, or other related software tools


• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety practices.


• Expertise in designing electrical systems for utility-scale and commercial solar projects


• Experience in medium voltage system design of 4kV to 35kV is preferred

Salary Range: $115-160k
