Job Description Summary:
SOLV Energy is looking for a motivated and creative technology R&D intern to join the OTS team and work on a variety of technology development projects related to supervisory control and data acquisition (SDADA) systems for utility scale renewable energy and battery storage power plants. As an operational technology R&D intern, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, contribute to innovative solutions, and gain valuable hands-on experience.Job Description:

Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist with the design, development, testing, and documentation of new technologies and products.
Assist with creating simulations of photovoltaic and battery energy storage power plants and the electrical grids they connect to.
Help develop and test renewable energy power plant control software.
Conduct research and analysis on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices.
Collaborate with engineers and mentors to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality results.
Present your work and findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Follow the company’s policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
Experience coding in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, IEC-61131.
Knowledge of AC and DC power fundamentals.
Experience with modeling and / or simulating electrical systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Passionate about learning new skills and technologies.
