We are seeking a motivated and eager Intern to join our Operational Technology Infrastructure Team. As a Systems/DevOps Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working with a variety of infrastructure components. You will work closely with the Operational Technology Infrastructure Team to learn about automation of system deployment and configuration. Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist team members with various tasks and projects.
Conduct research and gather data for reports or presentations.
Contribute to brainstorming sessions and offer creative input.
Support in preparing documents, reports, and other materials as needed.
Learn and apply industry-specific tools and software.
Participate in team meetings and collaborate on initiatives.
Assist in automating routine tasks for hypervisor environments (e.g., Hyper-V, Proxmox) and virtual servers.
Support the team in developing scripts and tools to streamline the management of network devices.
Participate in maintaining and improving infrastructure as code (IaC) practices for more efficient system provisioning and updates.
Assist with troubleshooting basic network, server, and virtualization issues under guidance.
Take part in evaluating new automation tools, contributing feedback and observations.
Collaborate closely with system engineers and network engineers to understand and improve the companyβs digital infrastructure.
Engage in hands-on learning and apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Prior internship or volunteer experience is a plus (but not required).
Basic familiarity with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
Interest in learning about hypervisors (e.g., Hyper-V, Proxmox) and network device automation.
Curiosity about Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible or Terraform.
Understanding of basic networking concepts and willingness to learn more advanced topics.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
