GENERAL SUMMARY

This position is responsible for administering/implementing processes within Organizational Effectiveness to promote and guide the strategy and culture to grow and develop leaders and their teams. The objective of the role is to ensure added value and continuous improvement for the corporation.

This position interfaces cross-functionally to ensure assigned programs and processes are aligned and properly executed and works with peer groups to ensure that department programs and processes are executed at high standards and in line with industry best practices, with goals for performance remaining challenging and continue to sustain excellence. Plans and coordinates several small to medium projects/assessments across multiple organizational effectiveness aspects.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Provide oversight, coordination and Subject Matter Expert support for key department programs which may include the following:

  • Human Performance Program: administer organizational strategy for improving human performance.
  • Business Process / Innovation Program: identify and resolve structural and process issues that impede their ability to be resource efficient and forward thinking.
  • Change Management Practitioner
  • Leadership and teamwork Behavior Trend Analysis: engage with station personal to observe and provide insights, reviewing identified issues and analyzing their aggregate impact, engaging with industry peers for best practices in trending, communication to station personnel and management when trends are identified.
  • Participate in Self Assessments related to Organizational Effectiveness, or as assigned
  • Coordination and facilitation of the Corporate Nuclear Safety Review Board (CNSRB)
  • Performance of INPO and WANO APOC duties

Manage improvement efforts as directed, to improve the overall performance of Columbia Generating Station and Energy Northwest to levels of industry excellence. This includes:

  • Engage with ENW personal to observe and provide insights, reviewing identified issues and analyzing their aggregate impact.
  • Provide oversight, monitoring, and direction for leadership and teamwork assessment activities.
  • Analyzing available data to recommend actions to improve organizational performance.
  • Providing resources, consultation, and partnership to Human Resources in the areas of practical problem solving, organizational and leadership development, intervention, and training solutions.
  • Ensure appropriate application of tools and methodologies to diagnose, identify, and resolve organizational and leadership issues.
  • Provide necessary support for Organizational Effectiveness cross-functional area including frequent interactions with external stakeholders such as INPO and CNSRB and some interactions with Executive Board.
  • Provide oversight, monitoring, and direction for leadership and teamwork assessment activities (e.g., Leadership Focus Team).
  • Lead or participate in Self Assessments related to Organizational Effectiveness, or as assigned.
  • Perform any and all activities and assignments (e.g. special studies/projects as assigned) that directly support department initiatives.

Positively represent the station while assigned to special projects requiring interface with external stakeholders.

Must participate on the Emergency Response team (ERO) when designated.

Must support the biennial refueling outage

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Organizational Effectiveness Specialist III

Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical or business discipline and 7 years’ applicable experience in one or more of the following areas: Nuclear Plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Corrective Action Program, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Human Behavior or other technical area;

OR an associate degree from an accredited college or university and 9 years’ applicable experience in one or more of the following areas: Nuclear Plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Corrective Action Program, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Human Behavior or other technical area;

OR a Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator license and 9 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: Nuclear Plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Corrective Action Program, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Human Behavior or other technical area;

OR a high school diploma or GED and 11 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: Nuclear Plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Corrective Action Program, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Human Behavior or other technical area.

Organizational Effectiveness Specialist II

Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical or business discipline and 3 years’ applicable experience in one or more of the following areas: Nuclear Plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Corrective Action Program, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Human Behavior or other technical area;

OR an associate degree from an accredited college or university and 5 years’ applicable experience in one or more of the following areas: Nuclear Plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Corrective Action Program, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Human Behavior or other technical area;

OR a Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator license and 5 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: Nuclear Plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Corrective Action Program, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Human Behavior or other technical area;

OR a high school diploma or GED and 7 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: Nuclear Plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Corrective Action Program, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Human Behavior or other technical area

Organizational Effectiveness Specialist I

Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical or business discipline and 1 years’ applicable experience in one or more of the following areas: Nuclear Plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Corrective Action Program, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Human Behavior or other technical area;

OR an associate degree from an accredited college or university and 3 years’ applicable experience in one or more of the following areas: Nuclear Plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Corrective Action Program, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Human Behavior or other technical area;

OR a Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator license and 3 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: Nuclear Plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Corrective Action Program, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Human Behavior or other technical area;

OR a high school diploma or GED and 5 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: Nuclear Plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Corrective Action Program, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Human Behavior or other technical area

Pay Range:

Organizational Effectiveness Specialist III Salary: $119,107 - $178,661

Midpoint: $148,884

Organizational Effectiveness Specialist II Salary: $103,563 - $155,345

Midpoint: $129,454

Organizational Effectiveness Specialist I Salary: $90,048 - $135,072

Midpoint: $112,560

Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.

Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.

Incentive Compensation

This role is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
