The NGLs trader will be responsible for the development and promotion of the trading activities for the NGLs desk in the Americas, interacting with a wide variety of companies from traders and oil majors to midstreamers. The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge and trading experience for all y- grade and purity products. Experience trading NGLs physical in well and pipe as well as swaps and energy futures is a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply with all internal compliance policies and procedures and with all external factors that impact the trading business (US, Nymex, ICE and other energy trading regulations)
Report to Petrochemicals, LPG & Bios Americas Trading Manager
P&L that include local books and shared books with Madrid and Singapore offices.
Coordinate and promote Business development activities in all products
Participate and take the commercial lead for projects in the US that involves one or more products corresponding to the a.m. portfolio
Coordinate with book leaders and traders from other offices
Coordinate with commercial teams from other Repsol Business Units involved in the management of the commodities that fall under the responsibility of the candidate
Coordinate activities with support teams (contracts, demurrages, back office, risk management, middle office) making sure all processes and activities of the desk follow best practices and procedures
Optimize value chain for all the products
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Must be legally authorized to work in the USA for any employer without the need for sponsorship, currently or in the future.
A minimum of a Bachelorβs degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (masterβs degree will be additionally valued)
A minimum of 15 years of experience in petroleum products trading, preferably NGLs and LPG
The willingness and ability to travel
Experience in NGLs business development in America
Strong knowledge of US NGLs inland, well, pipe and rail markets
Knowledge of midstream structures, pipe, connections and scheduling will be valued
Knowledge in logistics and vessels operations will be valued
Knowledge of US Gulf Coast and Latin America markets will be positively considered
Knowledge of storage facilities and blending
SKILLS
Understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Knowledge of the systems Bloomberg/Eikon/MarketView
Knowledge of Spanish will be valued
Ability to work as part of an international team and participate in group decision-making
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
Ability to work under pressure
