POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

Moss' Marketing Specialist, Pursuits will assist the Marketing Department in leading the development of strategic business proposals and presentations to establish and maintain company-wide standards for proposal production. This position is responsible for the development of innovative and creative proposals, presentations and other materials for our Tampa and Dallas business units, as well as providing support to other marketing efforts across the enterprise.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read, review, analyze, and interpret all requirements and objectives of solicitations (e.g., RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, ITNs)

  • Manage proposals from start to finish, including but not limited to facilitating meetings and assigning tasks to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) while managing within the deliverable timeline

  • Prepare and compile responsive and successful proposals/deliverables, including but not limited to planning, design, compilation, and production of responses to solicitations and subsequent presentations

  • Produce concise yet persuasive responses to solicitations including copywriting and formatting

  • Critically edit and proof content, including content prepared by others

  • Translate technical, process, and other complex information as needed into graphical representations (e.g., flow charts, diagrams)

  • Perform in-house production of solicitations and other deliverables as needed; oversee vendor production when needed

  • Ensure deliverables are submitted on-time and maintain documentation providing proof of submission

  • Maintain proposal and support files in accordance with department standards

  • Manage presentations, including but not limited to creating slides, working with outside vendors (e.g., animation studios), coaching of the presentation team, and operating marketing equipment during the presentation

  • Provide support to other team members for deliverables as needed, including but not limited to gathering information, preparing resumes/fact sheets, editing, proofing, and production

  • Adhere to company brand standards

  • Collaborate with the senior marketing manager, pursuits and other business leaders on pursuits, pursuit process, and business development needs

  • Collaborate with the Data Coordinator to organize, update, and maintain database and marketing materials including project lists, reference lists, reference letters and personnel resumes

  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Expert in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, Keynote

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one-to-two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the AEC industry

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task under strict deadlines

  • Ability to collaborate and communicate well with all team members including field staff and upper management

  • Possess a strong work ethic and exercise a high-level of maturity with a positive attitude

  • Possess superior organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail

  • Excellent technical writing skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

  • Competency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

  • Flexibility to embrace change in a rapidly changing environment

  • Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends to meet project deadlines

  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to think out of the box
