Tactical Responsibilities

  • Conduct trainings for manufacturing processes
  • Maintain training records for team members
  • Work with Production team to develop a training plan for manufacturing team members and assign team members to appropriate trainings
  • Create and communicate training schedule
  • Conduct training audits monthly
  • Partner with HR and Safety to coordinate compliance training
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop and maintain standardized work for current skill trainings
  • Work with Production team to create and conduct on-the-floor lean trainings
  • Shadow current skills training (to be a backup as needed)

Strategic Initiatives

  • Develop and maintain a visual way to see training requirements vs. training certifications in station
  • Develop and maintain a site-wide cross-training matrix
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement ideas for the skills training center
  • Identify future skills training needs and work with the team to develop new trainings
  • Support Lean Training curriculum

Skills and Experience:

  • BS degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing or Related Field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing environment in a process/manufacturing/or operations/materials management role
  • Required Skills:
    • Strong organizational kills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
    • Strong verbal, listening, presentation, and written communication skills
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Desired Skills:
    • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and hands-on problem-solving techniques
    • Project management skills with teams made up of varying levels
