Summary

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Planning & Logistics, the Manager, Purchasing is responsible for

leading the purchasing activities at Highland.


This person will assist the Sr. Manager, Planning & Logistics with converting supply plans into purchase orders, developing and implementing a procure-to-pay process, and driving on-time delivery for equipment. This individual will be responsible for acquiring and maintaining proficiency in NetSuite procurement modules.


Responsibilities will also include gathering quotations, placing PO’s, and driving on-time delivery for service parts. This individual will monitor and report on delivery schedules and overall supplier performance to KPI’s.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Executing purchase orders based on the supply plan (monthly) established by the Executive Sales & Operations Planning process (SOP).
  • Perform purchasing activities and managing supplier on-time delivery for Fleet Operations and R&D.
  • Prepare purchase orders for capital equipment, project expenses, and R&D.
  • Super-User for NetSuite Advanced Procurement modules and Process Owner for procure-to-pay at Highland.
  • Develop and communicate action plans for resolving delivery issues, receiving, and on-time payment to suppliers.
  • Assist in the configuration and implementation of ERP system modules for purchasing and supply planning.
  • Continuously improve purchasing and planning processes through automation, standard work (procedures), and visual management.


Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration, finance or related discipline


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with purchasing/planning in a service and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in technology-intensive environments; strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Data driven approach to problem-solving
  • Confident, high energy, self-motivated and a team player
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced, innovative, dynamic team
  • Technical knowledge of purchasing, logistics, planning
  • ERP systems knowledge and experience
  • Proficient in presenting using Google & Microsoft 365 tools
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and execute multiple unrelated tasks and to clearly communicate task status (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work with little supervision and thrive in a deadline driven, fast paced environment; proactive, systemic, and detail oriented in addressing challenges; passion for accelerating success and driving change
