JOB SUMMARY:

This position of Manager Projects Unit is for the Digital Grid Project unit responsible for automation, grid modernization and compliance projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing activities between team members including Project Managers, engineers and construction management. This team will design and execute automation and grid modernization projects located in RGE and NYSEG territory in New York according to the Substation Digital Plan and as directed by T&S Asset Planning or Maintenance Engineering. The Unit Manager ensures the project team delivers projects according with baseline budgets, schedules, scope, quality and engineering standards.
Responsibility includes meeting corporate goals for managing the design and execution of the work to meet company in service dates and estimated cost targets. This work will require coordination across multiple departments in the organization, working very closely with “Substations Operations”, “T&S Asset Planning” and “Strategic Projects & Oper. Excellence ”. Must manage team performance to maximize the effectiveness of the resources allocated to the program.
