This position is a hybrid role (3x per week onsite) that will be based at our headquarters in Fremont, California. The Machine Learning Engineer will be based in Fremont. In this position, you will report to the Sr. Data & Analytics Manager.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do

• Continuously build and optimize the quality of our machine learning models through state-of-the-art machine learning techniques such as deep learning, sequence models, large language models, and recently published work
• Work closely with other data experts to optimize ML tooling and processes to ensure stability and reproducibility.
• Contribute to evaluating and adopting new technologies and tools to enhance our machine-learning capabilities.
• Create monitoring tools to improve the quality of the data we process.
• Work with other data scientists to automate data tasks to make production-ready models.

Here is some of what you’ll need (required)

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer science, Mathematics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field.
• 3-5 years of industry machine learning experience and excellent software engineering skills.
• Proficiency in programming languages Python, Pyspark and strong understanding of ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Ability to make critical decisions with very little information.
• Expertise in the breadth of machine learning modeling techniques such as tree-based models, deep learning techniques, sequence models, and large language models.
• Experience with ML cloud platforms such as AWS Sagemaker, Databricks, or GCP Vertex AI
• Passion for learning and staying updated with the latest machine-learning industry trends
• Knowledge of DevOps principles and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Terraform).
• Understanding of Containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication skills and collaboration skills.

Here are a few of our preferred experiences

• Experience with feature store and MLOps , Azure ML
• Experience with Timeseries Data/DB is a plus.
• Knowledge of sensor data is a plus.

Salary Applicable to California: $100,000 to $140,000
