Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Event Coordinator to serve as our department administrator. Ideal candidates will be energetic, motivating (to get others to produce on deadline), and efficient. The Learning Coordinator will serve as the central point of contact for the Learning & Development (L&D) department team, creating and coordinating a wide variety of local and nationwide events, maintaining department standards, and communicating with stakeholders and subject matter experts This candidate will be responsible for coordinating learning projects, updating the department SharePoint site and working closely with instructional designers (IDs) and subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop training for our rapidly growing company.  

This position will be based at Energy Solutions’ headquarters located in Oakland, CA and will be expected to report to the office at least every Wednesday and as needed for on-site events (must be willing to work additional hours for special events) 

 

Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Coordinate and implement the end-to-end logistics for online and in-person learning events (e.g. class setup in the LMS, scheduling enrollments, securing room bookings, coordinate with facilities to set up rooms, catering, etc.) 
  • Maintain L&D calendar and update the L&D SharePoint site as needed  
  • Map out annual training plans and track employee training activity schedules 
  • Develops agendas and supports communications for L&D initiatives including sending pre- and post-learning event communications, reminders, surveys, and evaluations 
  • Assist with the development of curriculum, content, and materials 
  • Interface with vendors to manage printing and ordering of training materials 
  • Assign all required training and work with managers to ensure timely completion 
  • Administer training surveys and seek continuous feedback to ensure an exceptional and impactful learning experience   
  • Partner with the Human Resources onboarding team to manage the onboarding process and tracking within the LMS 

 

Minimum qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent credentials in Communications, Marketing, Business, or Project Management disciplines), preferred but not required 
  • 3 years of professional experience (organizing, scheduling, event coordination and managing multiple training initiatives simultaneously) with a bachelor’s degree or 5 years of professional experience without a degree 
  • Professional experience using e-learning software or Learning Management Systems; Absorb LMS experience preferred 
  • High proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel - skills test will be required during the interview process) 
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with a graphic design eye 
  • Significant webinar hosting (Zoom) experience and facilitating live remote events 
  • Exceptional organization skills with the ability to coordinate multiple training events across several time zones (for at least 50+ people) 
  • Strong meeting planning experience 
  • Ability to connect, engage and collaborate effectively with the Energy Solutions team, business stakeholders and external vendors 
  • Demonstrated skills in calendar management 
  • Analytical skills to source, manipulate and produce insightful data reports 
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and develop training tools  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information in a fast-paced environment 
  • Able to work effectively across multiple time zones with a dispersed workforce  

 

Salary DOE: $65,000 - $85,000/Annually
