1. Performs time studies to project yield and estimates the material usage and PPM.
2. Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine workflow processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
3. Lead and help support all Value Stream Mapping events and kaizen projects for future state processes/layouts.
4. Collaborate with the team to gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience in optimizing processes, improving efficiency, and enhancing overall productivity within our organization.
5. Learn and apply lean manufacturing principles to identify and eliminate waste in various processes.
6. Support Industrial Engineering’s ownership of facility layouts across all properties.
7. Collaborate with other departments to understand their processes and identify opportunities for collaboration and improvement.
8. Support all 5-S efforts by working on projects to improve the overall appearance of the plant.
9. Other duties and responsibilities may be added.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word applications software is preferred.
• Experience with 2D and 3D design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) is a plus.
• Previous experience in lean manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to work in a very fluid work environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Attending four-year College or university for Engineering, or Science.

• Third Year Bachelor's Student

• High School Diploma Required

• 0 - 6 Months Work Experience

Office Environment - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
May be required to exert up to ___50____ pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Factory - The worker may be subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, vibration, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to temperature changes or exposure to chemicals. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, odors, dust, mists, and gases. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the

You can plan on being a part of our 300+ person team working 3 to 5 days per week during normal business hours on your assigned days.
