To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Category Strategy Development - Establishes category strategy using Total Value Performance approach to define the Supply Base and Technology Strategy to meet all current and future Cummins' needs; manages risk and inclusion of diverse suppliers.
  • Balances stakeholders - Anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Global perspective - Taking a broad view when approaching issues, using a global lens.
  • Purchasing Ethics - Avoids supplier engagement that may compromise supplier sourcing, selection, and management processes and seeks counsel to ensure compliance.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • Experience with electrical components & suppliers is highly desired.

Compensation

Salary Range\: $100,000 - $150,000. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.

We are looking for a talented Hydrogen Sourcing Manager to join our team for our Accelera Business Unit.  This position is to be 100% remote within the United States, ideally in the Columbus, IN or Fridley, MN area. 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Leads global sourcing strategies. Provides leadership to cross-functional teams to resolve complex business issues. May manage regional sourcing teams. Defines project scope, mitigate risk, and identifies savings opportunities across business units. May also support procurement as it relates to new product development. Implements policies and metrics to ensure the best combination of cost, quality and delivery.
  • Determines and helps businesses manage demand and supplier capacity.
  • Promotes alignment of sourcing strategy with other cross functional departments.  
  • Manages supplier relationships using agreed process with established work plan, senior sponsor meetings, and scorecards; builds a collaborative relationship to deliver value to Cummins and the supplier.
  • Negotiating and executing supply contracts to cover commercial and legal relationship between Cummins and supplier; incorporates commercial requirements and laws of regions, drive consensus amongst stakeholders and develops a mutually agreed and legally approved contract.   
  • Drives total cost reductions across the entire supply chain.
