Conventional hydrogen production from fossil fuels is accompanied by the release of large quantities of carbon dioxide. Our innovative technologies use renewable energy and water to produce green hydrogen with zero emission. We aspire to improve efficiency, reduce the cost, and scale the manufacturing to meet the booming green hydrogen market.

 

We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated Test Engineer to join our newly launched Hydrogen Center of Excellence (COE) in Burlington, MA. As a member of the test/analysis team, you will collaborate closely with scientists, engineers, and production staff to advance our innovative water electrolysis technologies. Together, we will pioneer groundbreaking solutions aimed at transforming our technologies for cost-effective, carbon free hydrogen production.


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Setup, modify, and maintain electrolyzer test stations to meet product development requirements.

  • Assemble single cells and short stacks, operate test stations and provide high-quality, consistent results.

  • Work with R&D scientists to design and implement electro chemical test protocols, perform electro chemical and mechanical characterizations, and work with software engineers to automate data analysis and ensure data-based decision-making.

  • Document and analyze test results, prepare detailed reports, and provide clear and detailed recommendations to related stake holders.

  • Maintain the test lab regularly, including modifying experimental apparatus per projects’ needs, verifying/calibrating lab devices, applying exceptional troubleshooting skills to diagnose problems, and perform repair / replacement of defective parts.

  • Actively maintain a safe working environment.


Qualifications:



  • BS or MS in in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or other engineering field.

  • 5+ years of related experiences.

  • Hands-on experience in low temperature fuel cells and/or electrolyzers is a big plus.

  • Highly motivated with mechanical aptitude and hands-on ability.

  • Well-versed in mechanical, electrical, process, and controls aspects of test system design.

  • Familiar with writing test procedures and reports.

  • Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is mostly in-person.

  • Competency to work effectively and autonomously in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Knowledgeable about electro chemical techniques.

  • Comfortable with handling and processing catalyst nanomaterials.

  • Familiarity with data processing software such as Python, MATLAB, MS-Excel or similar.

Salary: $80K to 110k, depending on the appropriate experience.
