We are currently seeking a full-time Energy Efficiency Project Manager II to join our Policy & Ratings Team. The person selected to fill this position will leverage experience in technical project portfolio management, stakeholder collaborative facilitation, and in-depth knowledge of building energy technologies and/or energy efficiency policy. Experience in energy efficiency related to (one or more) lighting (including networked lighting controls), HVAC, water heating, envelope, water efficiency, demand response, or related technology solutions, is desired to help create large scale savings for our clients. Previous experience working with building efficiency standards and appliance efficiency standards is also desirable.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:β€― 

  • Overall direction, management, quality control and completion of project deliverables 
  • Developing and managing multiple complex project budgets and tasks with minimal oversight 
  • Managing the design and implementation of multiple projects and bringing them to conclusion 
  • Communicating project progress to management and clients 
  • Interacting with customers, clients, and external collaborators 
  • Conducting market research and data analysis 
  • Tracking of industry trends and other market changes that impact energy efficiency 
  • Lead proposal content development efforts 

 

Minimum qualifications:β€― 

  • A bachelor's degree with an energy focus, preference being towards engineering, environmental science or public policy 
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience (graduate school years applicable) 
  • Demonstrated project management including strong organizational skills and high attention to detail (formal project management training preferred) 
  • Strong technical written and verbal communication skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed technical and quantitative analysis 
  • Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with clients and to serve as a point of contact for clients or subcontractors on projects 
  • Demonstrated outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, including risk management and mitigation 
  • Excellent personal accountability and quality control practices 
  • Technical experience in energy efficiency related to lighting, HVAC, demand response, or related technology solutions preferred 
  • Experience with energy codes and standards and/or specification development preferred 
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Office 
  • Willingness to conduct business travel 

 

Salary DOE: $75,000 to $90,000/Annually
