Boston Government Services is seeking a Part Time - Data Engineer to support the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, CO.

Overview:


We are seeking a skilled and experienced data engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in data engineering principles and technologies, with a proven ability to design build and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures.


 


Responsibilities:


Building and visualization of data pipelines using various tools. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with a knack for identifying and resolving data related issues.


Qualifications

Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or information systems

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • A strong foundation in data engineering principles and technologies, with a proven ability to design build and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures.

  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries and optimize database performance.

  • Extensive experience with data warehouses and data marts including designing and implementing efficient data models.

  • Familiarity with Python and its data related libraries

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Successful drug screening.

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.


 


Location/Work Arrangement:



  • This position has the ability to be an onsite, hybrid, or remote working arrangement.


 


Preferred Qualifications:



  • API development and integration

Starting compensation for this role typically salary ranges between $75,000 and $80,000 annually is commensurate with experience relative to the position and may vary based on candidate geographical location.
