Job Description
Position Overview:
Support the communication efforts of AEUG’s MarCom department, assist in the development of communication strategies, assist in developing social media content and support internal and external communication efforts. This position is ideal for recent graduates looking to gain practical experience in the field of communications.
Responsibilities:
• Support the development and implementation of communication strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives. This involves conducting research, analyzing data, and providing recommendations to enhance communication efforts.
• Assist in the coordination and execution of internal communication initiatives. This includes drafting internal newsletters, organizing team meetings, and managing internal communication platforms.
• Assist in managing the organization's external communication efforts to maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including customers, media, and the public. This involves drafting press releases, monitoring media coverage, and supporting social media management.
• Assist in creating engaging and informative content for various communication channels, such as project landing pages, company one-pagers, project one-pagers, social media, and newsletters. This includes writing and editing content, as well as coordinating with graphic designers and videographers to produce multimedia content
• Assist in maintaining consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all communication materials. This involves reviewing marketing collateral, updating brand guidelines, and supporting internal teams in adhering to brand standards.
• Assist in ordering and tracking of company branded collateral, ensuring brand compliance and timely ordering of items
Required Skills and Competencies
Requirements:
• BA/BS Degree in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and strong editing and proofreading abilities
• Social media and digital background
• Native/ high proficiency level of English. Strong writer with some design skills/experience.
• Familiarity with graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and other Adobe products
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred
