Job Description

Support the civil engineers with assigned tasks including but not limited to:

o Assist other teammembers in the management of civil and structural engineering contractors assigned to work on the design of renewable energy facilities, including definition of requirements and specifications, review of engineering drawings and RFI management.

o Provide engineering consulting support to project managers in site risk identification, preliminary design and engineering of roads and foundations.

o Review engineering reports to ensure that they meet the requirements as described in Acciona standards.

o Support in development and updates of civil specifications and requirements to define Acciona standards to contractors.

o Support the cost estimation using internal estimates, accurately forecast the scope, cost and duration of future projects in early development stages.

o Support the Construction Team in the review and preparation of RFPs to be submitted to contractors. Review and evaluate estimates.

Required Skills and Competencies

Qualifications:

o Enrollment in a B.S. in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

o Capacity to work on varied activities, managing multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment

o Technically astute and capable of expertise-based problem solving

o High attention to detail and commitment to produce high quality outputs

o Make decisions based on accepted quality standards, policies and procedures

o An effective team-worker who can work independently when required

o Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to learn from experienced engineers

o High level of computer literacy, including using computer applications such as (e-mail, internet, MS Office, etc.)

o Willingness and flexibility to travel (up to 20% of time)

o Valid driver’s license
