About the Job:


Peak Energy is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Cell Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in advancing the development of next-generation battery cells. The successful candidate will have a strong background in materials science, electrochemistry, and engineering, with a focus on optimizing cell performance and reliability. 


Responsibilities: 



  • Conduct research and development activities to enhance the performance and efficiency of battery cells. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement experiments, analyze data, and optimize cell development processes. 

  • Evaluate and select materials for cell components, considering performance, cost, and sustainability. 

  • Develop and maintain documentation related to cell production and performance. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cell manufacturing and performance. 

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to contribute to the continuous improvement of battery technology. 

  • Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and research institutions to leverage expertise and stay at the forefront of cell development. 


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Master's or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Proven experience in battery cell development, electrochemistry, and materials selection. 

  • Strong knowledge of battery testing methodologies, data analysis, and statistical methods. 

  • Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools related to battery cell performance. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. 

  • Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and driving technological innovation. 

  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
