Position Summary
- Analytical Support: The Analyst will help provide important analytical support to the Renewable Operations & Maintenance team and other business groups. This includes assisting with commercial oversight and managing operations performance. The role involves working and collaborating with various local and global departments, as directed by managers and members in the Operations Performance team.
- Report Generation: The Analyst will assist the VP of Operations, Business Analysis manager, and the Operations Performance team by providing key analytical insights and generating reports. These reports will help improve commercial oversight and asset performance management.
- Location: Based in Portland, OR, the Analyst will act as a key link between departments, ensuring the analytical needs of the Operations Performance team are met. By providing detailed and accurate reports, the Analyst will help with informed decision-making and strategic planning, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the companyโs renewable energy assets.
Key Responsibilities
- KPI Reporting Support: Provide support in reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track and measure how well operations are performing.
- Executive Report Management: Assist in managing, generating, and presenting weekly and monthly executive reports with the Operations Performance team.
- Presentation Creation: Work towards managing the design and creation of clear and visually appealing presentations for the VP of Operations to show to the executive team.
- Collaboration: Work together with the divisions inside of Operations to coordinate on reporting metrics and other information gathering as needed.
- EIM Production Validation: Support the validation of Energy Imbalance Market (EIM) production processes.
- Fleet Metric Tracking Support: Assist in the review, reporting, and management of fleet metrics including proprietary site-level tracking databases.
- Solar & Windfarm Data Historian Development & Management: Assist in developing and maintaining OSIsoft PI tags for compliance, reporting, and analysis.
- Data Quality Resolution: Help resolve data quality and reliability issues as they come up.
- Analytical Point of Contact: Act as a point of contact for analytical requests, under the direction of the manager
- Reporting Optimization: Assist in improving and automating performance reporting processes.
- Process Documentation: Help document existing processes and workflows to ensure they are ready for audits and support business continuity.

Required Qualifications
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevance experience
- Bachelorโs Degree: Bachelorโs degree in engineering, Mathematics, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyze large volumes of data from various sources and platforms.
- SQL and Database Fundamentals: Excellent understanding of programming SQL and database fundamentals, including multidimensional and relational database design.
- Presentation Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of creating impactful presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to present analytics findings and recommendations in both oral and written form to an executive-level audience. Demonstrated creativity in designing visually appealing and compelling presentations.
- Microsoft Office Experience: Experience and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications, with advanced skills in Excel
- Travel Requirements: Limited travel requirements to a few days per year, if any, though training and travel opportunities will arise if desired.
Preferred Qualifications
- Energy Business-related Experience: Experience in Renewable operations or management (3+ years) or the equivalent combination, which could include financial or business experience not directly related to energy.
- Financial Analysis: Have had experience applying financial analysis in real-world scenarios (e.g. Rate of Return, Cost-Benefit Analysis, etc.)
- Data Historians: Some experience with data historians like OSIsoft PI.
- Power BI and Related Tools: Proficiency in tools and systems such as Power Query, MDX, Power BI, and DAX to build automated reports and dashboards.
- Scripting Languages: Basic proficiency and/or experience in scripting with languages such as C# or Python.
- Data Visualization Tools: Familiarity with data visualization tools, especially Power BI.
- Database Experience: Good understanding of database data retrieval, SQL, and basic database administration.
