The vacancy is framed within the EMD CFO organizational unit, DC Economic and fiscal Luxembourg.

The office consists of an international and enthusiastic team. Frequent relations are maintained with colleagues in Head Offices in Spain.

Currently we have a temporary vacancy for the position of Accountant.

The accountant will be responsible for accounting and reporting of a number of financing and holding entities, reporting to the manager of accounting and reporting.

The main functions are:

· Responsibility and accountability for accounting of assigned entities according to LuxGAAP / IFRS

· Daily maintenance of accounting ledgers (general and subledgers)

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintaining general and subledgers in SAP ERP for daily/monthly/quarterly transactions

· Preparation of draft financial statements

· Preparation of statutory reporting (including BCL reports monthly and quarterly)

· Working closely with Treasury in reviewing the reports from the treasury system and improving its exports onto SAP

· Budget reporting (variance of budget vs. actuals)

· Performance of reconciliations

· Working closely with colleagues in HQ to understand and meet internal obligations

· Participating in ad hoc projects as needed and requested.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting/business

· Around 3/4 years of experience in accounting and/or auditing

· Knowledge of IFRS / Lux GAAP

· Experience with monthly closing process and external audits

· Experience with SAP and Microsoft Excel

· Ability to work successfully both autonomously and within teams with a proactive approach

LANGUAGES:

· Excellent communication skills (both verbally and written) in English and Spanish.
