Job Description esVolta seeks an experienced Talent Acquisition and Planning Manager to take the lead on the company’s recruiting efforts, future head count planning, and training / development initiatives. esVolta is experiencing high growth now and is searching for experts with experience in development, construction, finance, and legal execution of battery energy storage projects across the US. The right candidate will have experience in the renewable energy sector, and at least four years in Human Resources.
You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions and posting jobs on our applicant tracking system, initial resume screening, coordinating with hiring manger and hiring team, drafting job offers, and supporting the overall talent acquisition efforts of the organization. You will work closely with the Human Resources team, hiring managers, candidates, and external recruiters as needed to ensure a smooth and positive experience throughout the hiring process, including onboarding. In addition to recruiting, this role will assess the development needs of current employees and recommend training and education as appropriate. You will work with department heads to identify skill gaps and create succession plans, plan future hiring needs, and assist with performance evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
Work with hiring manager to update and refine job descriptions and to assess future hiring needs.
Post all positions on JazzHR and maximize the efficiency of job postings to attract strong, diverse candidates and reduce internal reliance on external recruiters.
Keep candidates moving through the interview process and help hiring managers utilize Jazz HR for interviews and evaluations.
Prepare interview materials, such as interview guides, assessment tools, and feedback forms.
Prepare hiring managers to conduct legally appropriate interview questions.
Communicate with candidates to provide interview details, confirm availability, and address any logistical or scheduling issues.
Maintain and enforce terms of contracts with external recruiting firms.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within the talent acquisition function and suggest enhancements to streamline workflows.
Conduct interviews with candidates to cover HR questions and answer their questions about the company.
Prepare job offer letters and maintain hiring budget.
Conduct employee onboarding.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed about the latest trends in talent acquisition and planning.
Identify skill gaps and also help employees identify education and training needed for career progression. Develop training / continuing education budget.
Skills and Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Recruiting, Talent Acquisition and Planning.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business with a Human Resources focus.
Renewable industry experience strongly preferred.
Familiarity with JazzHR or another ATS.
Proven track record of successful hires.
Experience developing training plans, succession plans, management coaching plans, and performance improvement plans.
Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities and perform job responsibilities accurately while working simultaneously on several roles.
Strong organizational skills.
Self-starter with natural curiosity, enthusiasm, desire to learn and succeed. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer service-oriented approach.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and confidentiality.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Familiarity with employment laws and regulations related to recruitment and selection.
Compensation and Location The annual salary plus bonus range for this position is listed below. The actual salary and bonus offered will depend on the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.

Bonus 20%
Location is flexible, option to work-from-home with periodic office visits for in-person engagement or to work from company offices in Newport Beach. Requires ability to travel to company offices, project sites and business meetings as needed.
