Position Specific Description

Internships run on average ten to twelve weeks. Exact dates will be determined with your Hiring Manager and Recruiter.

  • You will primarily focus on the safe execution of field-based equipment maintenance on a wind turbine for the summer along with other related duties. 
  • Your eligibility in the intern program is contingent upon satisfying all our program eligibility requirements. 
  • I remain enrolled in full-time classes and in good standing at my college or university and will continue my enrollment at my college or university after my internship.
  • I have not graduated or will not graduate prior to or during my internship.
  • I continue to pursue a degree in a job-related course of study.
  • Must be a current student, not graduating on or before May 2025 and have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher, including all grades for the last term completed prior to signing this offer letter. 
  • You will work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 100 feet from the ground surface.
  • You may have to relocate for this intern position.

Job Overview

This job is a position offering experience with career-related activities encountered in a student's area of specialization. This position will provide mentoring and practical hands-on experience to assist the intern with achieving deliverables related to renewable energy. To be considered for this position the applicant must be actively enrolled full-time in a two-year electrical, mechanical, technical, or renewable energy degree (or equivalent) program at a college with a minimum GPA of 3.00.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Under direct supervision:

  • Performs maintenance and repair activities on wind turbine generators, solar equipment, and other renewable assets
  • Attends regular safety meetings and follows appropriate company safety and environmental policies
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad/GED
  • Experience: 0+ years
  • Valid Driver’s License (NON CDL)
