We are currently looking for a Site Safety Technician to join our project in Champaign, Illinois. This is a full time onsite position.
Salary range: $35 - $58 per hourWhat you’ll do:
- Inspect work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, State and Federal safety policies and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of construction sites, identifying potential hazards and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Documenting safety inspections, citing dangerous areas or procedures, recommending corrective action and maintaining safety equipment supply and availability.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and the client to implement effective safety strategies and practices.
- Collaborate with site supervisory personnel to identify and remedy unsafe working conditions.
What you’ll bring:
- 2+ years of experience with safety inspection work in the construction industry.
- Must be highly motivated, adaptable, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work both with a team and independently.
- Must have excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Must excel with multi-tasking, problem-solving, written, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold weather, heat or cold in homes and attics)
- Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, and work on rooftops and in attics of multi-level buildings
- Must excel with multi-tasking, problem-solving, written, and communication skills
- Ability to travel to job sites performing site audits up to 25% of the time.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen
