Project Engineering Internship

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer Intern to join our Surface Facilities Team, where you will actively contribute to the development, construction, and engineering of geothermal power plants. As the Project Engineer intern, you will work closely with our facilities engineers to support the planning and execution of various project phases. Your responsibilities will include conducting reviews of engineering deliverables, assisting in the design and optimization of surface facilities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the geothermal energy sector and make a meaningful impact in advancing sustainable energy solutions.

Potential Project Examples

• Project Close Out: Conduct review of engineering and construction deliverables; develop pre-commissioning and commissioning plans; track cost and develop forecast for project spend during construction and commissioning phases; manage project design redlines and own project change process
• Early Phase Project: Conduct reviews of engineering deliverables (drawings, specifications); conduct evaluation of various equipment vendors – including cost, operational efficiencies, material conformance, fabrication times; assist with standardization of facility design (ORC facility & Gathering Systems); Assist with development of engineering standards related to Surface Facilities

Qualifications

• Junior or Senior actively enrolled in an undergraduate program, or any level of graduate program; Preferred majors: electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other engineering disciplines
• Understanding of electrical power systems, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics
• Coding experience; Power BI or Spotfire a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to develop technical reports and presentations
• Self-motivated with strong desire to execute large scopes of work; ability to think critically
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
