Job Summary:


The Battery Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing solar battery systems, including battery storage units, inverters, wiring, and associated components. This role requires strong electrical skills, knowledge of battery technology, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to ensure solar battery installations' safe and efficient operation.


Key Responsibilities:




  1. System Installation:




    • Install and commission solar battery systems, including battery storage units, inverters, charge controllers, and associated electrical wiring and components.




    • Ensure installations are completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with local building codes, electrical regulations, and manufacturer specifications.






  2. System Maintenance and Testing:




    • Perform routine maintenance tasks on solar battery systems, including inspection, cleaning, and testing of batteries, connections, and electrical components.




    • Conduct performance tests and diagnostic checks to identify and address issues or concerns related to system operation and performance.






  3. Repair and Troubleshooting:




    • Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults, failures, and performance issues using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.




    • Repair or replace defective or damaged components of solar battery systems to restore functionality and ensure optimal performance.






  4. Safety and Compliance:




    • Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to minimize risks and hazards associated with electrical work and battery installations.




    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices for solar battery installations and maintenance.






  5. Customer Service and Support:




    • Provide excellent customer service and support to clients, responding promptly to service requests and addressing inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.




    • Communicate effectively with customers to explain installation procedures, maintenance requirements, and system operation.






Qualifications:




  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or technical training in electrical systems and solar energy preferred.




  • 4 years of experience as an electrician, with specific experience in solar battery installations and maintenance.




  • Electrical license or certification required; additional certifications in solar PV or energy storage systems preferred.




  • Strong knowledge of electrical principles, codes, and regulations, with the ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.




  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to resolve technical issues.




  • Sossen experience is a plus




  • Licensed Wireman or Journeyman Electrician

Salary: Panel pay + applicable bonuses


Sign-on Bonus:




  • We are pleased to offer you a Sign-On Bonus of $2,500 as part of your employment package. This bonus is structured as follows:




  • An initial payment of $1,500 will be paid to you on the payroll date following the completion of 45 days of continuous and satisfactory employment from your start date.




  • A subsequent payment of $1,000 will be paid to you on the payroll date following the completion of 90 days of continuous and satisfactory employment from your start date.
