About the Role
Manager, Tax- Corporate & International Strategy LanzaJet is looking for a highly motivated Manager to lead the Corporate & International Tax Strategy of our growing business. As a key player in the Lanzajet Finance organization, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support the global expansion and corporate tax strategy.
Responsibilities
International Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with international tax laws and reporting obligations.
Federal and State Tax Compliance: Manage U.S. federal, state, and local tax filings, including corporate income, franchise, and sales taxes.
Tax Planning & Strategy: Develop tax-efficient strategies for both domestic and international operations, ensuring optimal tax outcomes.
Transfer Pricing Management: Coordinate transfer pricing policies and documentation, including intercompany agreements and pricing studies.
Cross-border Transactions: Provide tax guidance on cross-border M&A, financing, and supply chain structuring.
Tax Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks across multiple jurisdictions, including U.S. federal and state-level risks.
Liaison with Tax Authorities: Manage correspondence with domestic (IRS, state tax authorities) and international tax bodies.
External Partners & Advisors: Work with external tax advisors and legal counsel to resolve complex issues.
Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with finance, legal, and other business teams to provide tax advice on both U.S. and international operations.
Tax Policy Monitoring: Stay up to date on U.S. federal, state, and international tax law changes, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field (Master’s in Tax or CPA preferred).
Experience: 5+ years of experience in corporate tax, with expertise in international taxation as well as U.S. federal and state tax compliance. Big four or similar international public accounting experience is preferred.
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of U.S. and International tax law, including corporate income, franchise, and sales tax regulations, and transfer pricing principles. ASC740 experience is also preferred.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex domestic and international tax issues and provide strategic solutions.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with tax compliance software and NetSuite is a plus.
Collaboration: A team player who can work effectively with internal teams and external advisors.
