  • We are looking for a new Global Buyer to join our team.

  • As our new Global Buyer your role will be to strategically prepare and conclude sourcing contracts based on customer requirements at the most beneficial conditions whilst ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

  • Relocation will not be offered for this role.

Responsibilities 

  • Your tasks as our Global Buyer for Cables and Other Electricals will be to implement commodity strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials.

  • More specific you will be contributing to the implementation and ensure usage of global defined methods, processes, and systems to ensure a high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g., compliance Purchase-to-pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).

  • Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, conducting and defining negotiation strategies and concepts to obtain the highest feasible savings; implementing and supporting Commodity and Pooling strategies (based on conducted demand, market and supplier analyses) considering cost-efficient supply of materials and strategic Global Value Sourcing;

  • Risk and opportunity management where you will identify particular procurement risks, opportunities and market forces to avoid potential damage/ exploit potential opportunities through tailored risk management and change management;

  • Or continuous project evaluations and supplier management processes execution.

Required Knowledge, Education, Experience and Skills : 

  • Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. 

  • We are looking for you, who wants to make real what matters and who wants to change the world to renewable energy.

  • The ideal candidate holds an academic degree in Business Administration or Engineering or similar (an MBA would be a great asset) in combination with thorough practical and direct experience of at least 3 to 5 years in procurement.

  • This role requires traveling up to 25%

  • It is an advantage if you have experience in procurement from the renewable energy or Automotive/Electronic sector.

  • We are looking for someone with proficient English . Good IT skills, especially MS Office, SAP and eProcurement tools as eRfX, eAuction/eBidding are fundamental for this position.

  • Most importantly, you challenge yourself and your colleagues to achieve the best results.

  • You have a high professional competency and analytical mindset, and you have a desire to develop your skills.

  • You have good collaboration skills, and you can manage to act in different cultural contexts.

  • To thrive in this position, you must have a strong result- and customer-oriented approach
