Weston & Sampson CMR is seeking a Geothermal Project Manager to oversee the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of geothermal heating and cooling systems. You will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality service and support to residential, municipal and commercial clients.









 






What you’ll do:

  • Take the lead in identifying and contacting clients regarding the benefits of geothermal systems.
  • Follow up with online and telephone inquiries regarding geothermal systems.
  • Assist in obtaining grants, rebates, credits and all other forms of available funding for the installation of geothermal systems.
  • Assist with marketing of geothermal capabilities
  • Perform site assessments to determine the feasibility of installing geothermal systems.
  • Work with team to determine the number and depth of wells, size HVAC equipment appropriate to the system requirements.
  • Work with Vendors to keep up to date with industry standards and improvements. 
  • Coordinate with W&S personnel, vendors and subcontractors to oversee and manage the installation of geothermal heat pumps, ground loops, and associated components according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Configure systems for optimal performance and energy efficiency. 
  • Promote and conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure systems are operating at peak performance.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions or breakdowns in geothermal heating and cooling systems both in person and remotely.
  • Coordinate replacement or repair defective components as needed.
  • Perform tests on geothermal systems to evaluate performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot issues with equipment and recommend solutions to improve system performance.
  • Communicate with clients to explain system operation, maintenance schedules, and recommended repairs.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain and provide accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and repairs performed.
  • Prepare and deliver service reports and documentation for clients and company records.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations while performing installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines related to geothermal systems.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with the design, installation, maintenance and/or troubleshooting of geothermal systems.
  • Additional certifications in geothermal system installation and maintenance (preferred).
  • Knowledge of geothermal heating and cooling principles, including heat pump operation and ground loop installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Ability to create and maintain project files and data.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license
