Energy Storage Project Developer - Northwest

Leap29 are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Energy Storage Project Developer to join one of our clients in the Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate will have a passion for clean energy solutions and a proven track record in developing and managing energy storage projects.

Ideal candidate location: Pacific Northwest. neighbouring states may be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of energy storage projects from inception to completion.


• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for potential projects.


• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.


• Manage relationships with stakeholders, including utilities, regulators, and community groups.


• Prepare and submit permit applications and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.


• Develop financial models and analyze project economics to support investment decisions.


• Oversee the commissioning and performance testing of energy storage systems.


• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy project development, with at least 2 years focused on energy storage.


• Strong understanding of energy storage technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.


• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Proficiency in project management software and financial modeling tools.


• Ability to travel as needed to project sites and stakeholder meetings.
