Job Description

The Director of Sales has a proven track record of driving rapid revenue growth, in the renewables sector.   

This self-starter needs to have self-confidence, integrity, intellect, work ethic, and perseverance that inspires confidence and trust.  Creative in approach but focused on results.  Disciplined in decision making with a bias for timely, decisive action.  An excellent listener and communicator, the candidate needs to thrive on closing deals and meeting sales quotas.

The ideal candidate will be a dealmaker at heart and have a high sense of accountability to consistently exceed stated goals and objectives. Accurately being able to forecast your monthly, quarterly, and annual regional new bookings projections is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Close new and existing deals already in the sales pipeline along with expansion with existing customers.
  • Develop and execute on annual and quarterly sales execution plans for your region that will continue to drive rapid revenue growth.
  • Provide accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual new bookings projections on a regular basis.
  • Ensure communications are coordinated, support sales plan objectives and meet organizational expenditure requirements.
  • Recommend sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analysis.


Requirements:

  • Familiarity with pain points for operating wind plants
  • Minimally 5 years of sales experience in the wind energy sector selling to renewable IPPs.
  • Exceptional value selling skills.
  • Passionate ambition and drive, with an outstanding work ethic.
  • Committed to executing for results.
  • Outstanding communication, follow up, and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Minimally a bachelor’s degree.

 

This position requires frequent travel, around 50% of the time.  Travel is national and requires overnight stays.
