Description

As a leading cleantech developer, Fervo is dedicated to driving the transformation of the renewable energy industry. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented rising Senior to join our team as a Corporate Finance Intern. The Corporate Finance Intern will spend the summer assisting with a wide range of financial analyses crucial to our rapidly growing company. Your contribution will play a critical role in supporting our Finance function, encompassing essential tasks like geothermal project cost analysis, financial forecasting, and the creation of presentations to communicate findings to key decision-makers.


In this position, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects that require adaptability and a multi-faceted skillset. By effectively presenting and visualizing financial data, and through concise written and verbal communication, you'll support the finance team in guiding decision-makers through intricate financial concepts.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Support in building financial reconciliations and conducting analyses to contribute to key strategic initiatives and foster informed financial decision-making
  • Assist in the preparation of comprehensive reports and financial analyses, both at the corporate and project levels
  • Participate in monthly variance analysis efforts to understand fluctuations in reported financials
  • Collaborate in the development of forecasts for corporate and project contexts, learning from experienced professionals
  • Contribute to the creation of materials for financial review presentations and quarterly board meeting materials
  • Engage in ad-hoc financial analysis, gaining insights and helping to create clear and concise presentations

Qualifications

  • Rising Senior actively enrolled in an undergraduate program with a major in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to understand financial concepts/proficiency to manipulate, reconcile, and summarize datasets
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools is a plus
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude, capable of planning, pivoting, and executing tasks independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities



Salary Description

$25-$45/hour
