Position Details:

Summary of Duties:
The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for the overall management of business and operational functions related to the Pacific Northwest Hydrogen Hub contract. Duties include budget development and management; fiscal operations oversight; financial reporting; subcontracts compliance oversight; and special events management and coordination. Additional responsibilities include project coordination for the Lead Principal Investigator and facilitation of a variety of assignments related to the PNWH2 Hub contract. The Administrative Coordinator serves as the primary contact for internal and external constituencies, often on complex issues. The scope of interactions includes other units within the University and external constituencies, such as federal agencies and private corporations requiring a high level of professionalism, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area.

  • Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

  • Experience managing and/or monitoring federal grants.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in higher education. 

  • Familiarity with WSU policies involving personnel, travel and sponsored programs.

Monthly Salary: $4,383.00 - $6,579.00

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range. This is a Temporary position.


Temporary End Date:

This is a temporary position with an initial appointment of three years. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
